What is TRICARE?
TRICARE dental benefits for military families run through specific programs: the TRICARE Dental Program for family members and reservists, the Active Duty Dental Program, and FEDVIP dental plans for retirees.

- 2. Ask the practice directly. Give them your plan name and member ID, and ask whether they're in network for that specific plan.
- 3. Get a pre-treatment estimate for major work. Waiting periods of 6 to 12 months are common for crowns and dentures, so put the cost and timing on paper first.
