Privacy Policy

When you submit a claim form, we collect your name, email, phone (optional), and any message text you provide.

When you create a patient match profile, we collect your email, ZIP code, and the preference data you enter (anxiety level, communication style, family situation, values, languages, insurance, tech preference, cost sensitivity, and any free-text notes).

When you contact us, we collect what you submit through the form: name, email, topic, and message body.

We log standard server access metadata (IP address, user-agent, request path) for security and reliability monitoring. These logs are retained for up to 90 days.

We don't sell your data. Period.

We don't use behavioral tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or third-party advertising identifiers.

We don't require accounts to browse practices.

Practice names, addresses, phone numbers, and taxonomies are sourced from the public CMS NPPES (NPI) registry — federal data anyone can access.

Practice owners can claim their listing. When they do, they can add or edit content (description, hours, photos, social links, testimonials). Owner-edited content is shown publicly.

If you're a practice owner and want your listing changed or removed, contact us at hello@dentalist.ai or use the Contact form. We'll respond within 24 hours.

Claim form data is used to verify ownership and issue an owner console link.

Patient match profile data is used to generate dentist match recommendations for you, and (in aggregate, anonymized form) to improve the matching engine.

Contact form data is used only to respond to your inquiry.

We do not share, sell, or rent your personal data to third parties.

Email delivery: Resend (transactional email).

Payments: Stripe (only for Premium subscriptions; we never store full card numbers — Stripe handles all payment data).

Hosting: standard cloud infrastructure with TLS encryption in transit and at rest.

We use minimal session cookies for the admin console and any logged-in flows. We do not use marketing or tracking cookies.

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to delete it, or correct it by emailing hello@dentalist.ai.

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA. EU residents have rights under GDPR. Email us to exercise any of these rights and we'll respond within 30 days.

Dentalist.ai is intended for adults seeking dental care or claiming a practice. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13.

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date below and (where required by law) notify you.
