How MetLife dental coverage typically works, what to check before you book, and the NPI-verified practices that have declared it on their profiles. Acceptance here is self-declared by practices, not verified by MetLife.
Counts reflect what practices have declared on their own profiles, not carrier network data. Most practices haven't declared their plans yet, so a low count is a data gap, not a verdict.

MetLife dental coverage is one of the most common employer benefits in the country, built around the MetLife Preferred Dentist Program (PDP).
PDP plans are PPOs: in-network dentists accept negotiated fees, and you can go out of network for a higher share of the cost. MetLife also offers dental HMO plans in some states.
Ask the practice if they participate in the MetLife PDP network, and request a pre-treatment estimate for anything beyond routine care.
Self-declared on each practice profile. Verify your specific plan with the practice before booking.
