Welcome to Avanti Dentistry! Dr. Mina Abdolahi is an orthodontist at our practice that found her interest in the field by having orthodontic work done on her at a dental school. Though she didn't know at the time why she found it so interesting, she knew that she wanted to become an orthodontist in that moment. As she began to research her new interest, she found that it was a combination of all the things she grew up loving to do. Dr. Abdolahi went to undergrad at the University of Virginia, where she earned her bachelor's in biology. She then attended the dental school at the Medical College of Virginia and University of Iowa for two years of specialty orthodontic training. Mina says her favorite part of her job is seeing the confidence restored to patients by being able to smile again.
